I, Jack McConnell, was born a seventh-generation Texan on January 19, 1996, in Austin, Texas. I grew up in a loving household with my mother, an elementary school teacher, my father, a commercial banker, two sisters, and an assortment of pets.
During my childhood, I played music and participated in sports. I attended elementary school, middle school, and high school in the 31st Congressional District of Texas and graduated early from Round Rock High School with a focus on International Business and Economics. After briefly working in the film industry, I attended Champion's School of Real Estate and became licensed under the Texas Real Estate Commission. Since then, I have worked in various industries, including technology, education, consulting, investment, and entertainment. I have traveled extensively, including visits to areas of conflict such as Central America, Israel, Armenia, Turkey, and Russia. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of global issues, as well as the cultures and histories of the people in these regions. Throughout my travels, I’ve had the privilege of visiting many historical sites that hold significant meaning in American history and culture, including Colonial Williamsburg, the Alamo, Jerusalem, and Thessaloniki.
In 2020, I met and married my beautiful wife, and we began her immigration journey. My wife and I are both of the Christian faith.
While I have been fortunate in many aspects of my life, I have also faced the overwhelming nightmare of bureaucracy and government overreach. A nightmare that, like for many others, has left its mark upon my soul. The American family is struggling to stay afloat financially and the American people have almost entirely been stripped of their unalienable rights. I believe that liberty is under great threat, possibly more than ever before, and I would forever regret not stepping up in her defense. For this reason, I am running for U.S. Congress in the 31st District of Texas in 2026, as a Republican. However, I want to be clear that, regardless of party affiliation, I will serve all constituents in the 31st District of Texas—a district in which I have spent more than two decades of my life—with the duty and respect they deserve.

I am proud to say that I, Jack McConnell, am:
- Descended from at least 19 Revolutionary War veterans, including General George Washington's aide-de-camp and later U.S. Senator John Walker.
- Descended from at least 5 Revolutionary War patriots who supported the cause in other ways rather than serving in the armed forces (ex: funding the cause), one of whom had earlier participated in the Regulator Movement.
- Descended from natives of the Chickasaw, Muscogee and Cherokee Nations.
- Descended from settlers in the Plymouth Colony (at least one of whom came over on the Mayflower).
- Related to more than a dozen participants in the Texas Revolution.
- The great-grandson of my last ancestor to immigrate to the United States, who left Germany as Hitler came to power and soon after joined the U.S. Army to fight Nazi Germany.
- The grandson of an Austin Police hero Milton Shoquist, who while off-duty responded to the UT Tower shooting and entered the tower with a small team that successfully neutralized the shooter and rescued several of the wounded.
- A distant cousin of Davy Crockett, Nathanael Greene, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman, Peyton Randolph, Edmund Randolph, Benjamin Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln, John Marshall, "Light Horse Harry" Lee and Richard Henry Lee; but that I have no known relation to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell.

Regarding my professional experience, I, Jack McConnell, have:
- Worked as a part of the start-up team for successful and failed companies in tech, entertainment and real estate.
- Ran successful marketing and entertainment businesses.
- Worked in the consulting industry in Central Texas, including the BCO Consulting Group (aiding Spanish-speaking founders in their expansion into the United States) and the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) on their private equity team.
- Worked for a real estate hedge fund with more than $1B in assets under management. After a brief period of employment, I requested to be transferred to its equities team due to moral objections to the practice of manufactured inflation in the single-family home market, after that request was declined, I resigned.
- Successfully defended intellectual property in litigation brought on by a competitor valued around $75M before the Trademark, Trail and Appeal Board, as the presiding officer of a company.
- Successfully pursued unpaid wages from a technology startup.
- Worked as a liaison between local governments and film productions on behalf of film production companies.
- Successfully ranked among the top 0.75% of musical acts worldwide.
- Lectured about the music industry at universities across the world and teaching elementary-aged school children about film production.
- Managed investor newsletters and social media for real estate investment companies.
- Successfully raised capital for various projects in the entertainment industry.
- Driven for rideshare and food delivery services.
- Helped and continue to help my wife run her small business.

Regarding my political history, I, Jack McConnell, have:
- Authored the White House petition in 2012 to prioritize negotiating release for or coordinating the rescue of American hostage Robert Levinson. The petition was signed by roughly 20,000 U.S. citizens and featured on Greta Van Susteren. The Clinton State Department, unfortunately, mismanaged the situation and led to the death of Robert Levinson.
- Assisted Martin Harry's campaign for Travis County District Attorney 2018.
- Voluntarily assisted legal immigration applicants with navigating the complex immigration process during COVID restrictions.
- Worked alongside others to achieve a blanket waiver for COVID-vaccination for Russian and Ukrainian immigrants being processed at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, in 2022.
- Traveled to Washington, D.C. to observe the House and Senate in session and contacted representatives about key issues.
